My name is Nektaria and i live on the island Salamis near Athens (Greece)
NEKTAR CATS is a small cattery without cages. Our cats are living with us in our rooms! We think that this is the most important thing to be happy together.
We started to go to cat shows, few years ago,(2000) with our first cat, GIP IVAN (per d 33). IVAN is an imposing, lovely cat. He has very good character and he is very charming. Anyone who see him, loves him. IVAN has won many awards in the those years he has been shown ( In and out of Greece ). He is always NOM, BIS or BOX, even BOB sometimes, and we are very proud of him. He has appeared many times in magazines! He has even been in a TV spot! He is truly a star!
Later, I saw in a magazine, one amazing cat, a Maine Coon. We tried to learn more, but in Greece there wasn't anyone who breed those splendid cats. So we decide to start looking abroad. We made the first Maine Coon import in Greece from Italy, in 2001. Those two first cats were FIORE (MCO n) and DRAGON (MCO d 09). Dragon is now neutered, but has stayed with us. Fiore is the mother of our first litter!
Our newest stars, are two really beautiful cats who came from our Italian friend Lillia Golfarelly. LILLYCOONS EBB TIDE and LILLYCOONS EDENLIGHT. Ebb Tide MCO d 09 is a special cat! By the time he was one year old he had already won BIS. He is very typy, and very big for his age. Edenlight, MCO fs 09 22 is our queen! She is typy too, with magnificent color and excellent character! One of most important things in our breeding program, is good character.
We don't have kittens all the time, but sometimes we have kittens available, in reasonable prices. Our first priority is that our kittens go to homes where they will be really loved.
